Kingsgrave is an action adventure game, enriched with RPG elements and solutions taken from the metroidvania genre. The production, for which the source of inspiration was the first installments of The Legend of Zelda series, was developed by the independent Egg or Chicken Games studio, while its release was handled by Alawar. The plot ofKingsgrave takes us to a fantastic land, which has had its glory years behind it. After its population was decimated by a terrible disease, the few inhabitants who managed to survive left the land, and their place was taken by nightmarish creatures that devour everything that stands in their way. All is not lost, however, as a long-dead king is brought back to life, tasked with cleansing the kingdom of the plague. MechanicsIn Kingsgrave the action is viewed from a bird's eye view. The adventure takes us through a variety of locations from forests and grassy r?vines to deserts and volcanic valleys. Before we get the opportunity to bring subjects who will breathe life back into them, we have to face the dangers lurking in these places, discover their secrets and solve the puzzles sewn into them. Various adversaries stand in our way, with whom we wage dynamic clashes, making use of white weapons and various combat skills. As you progress, not only the land regains its former glory, but also you grow in strength. By gathering resources and acquiring better equipment, constructing buildings and eliminating enemies, we unlock abilities that allow us to face more and more challenges and give us access to new locations. All this means that the more we contribute to rebuilding the kingdom, the more powerful we will become and the easier the task entrusted to us will be.
