Game description:
Ixion is a city-builder economic strategy in which we manage a huge space station. The game was developed by the Bulwark Studios team and was published by Kasedo Games. PlotIxion offers us a grim vision of the future, in which the Earth haunted by successive cataclysms is less and less suitable for life. DOLOS Corporation decided to face the problems and organize a mission to find a new home for humanity. During the game we play as a manager of gigantic Tiqqun station, crossing the interstellar space looking for a habitable planet. MechanicsIn Ixion we observe the action from the top-down view. During the game we are responsible for all aspects of the Tiqqun station's functioning. We have to not only take care of its infrastructure and manage its population, but also develop new technologies and constantly face the problems that arise during space travel. All this is complicated by the fact that cut off from any supplies we have to find necessary resources on our own. The station has been divided into six sectors, within which, as we progress, we build new structures for new crew members. During the journey we're not limited to the people with whom we started. With time, we can not only start waking up more astronauts from cryogenic sleep, but also welcome on board members of other expeditions or, for example, people pulled from wreckage. New technologies developed by the scientists on the station allow us to create and send into space reconnaissance probes, and with time, also mining and cargo ships, thanks to which it is possible to trade with other stations. However, you should not forget that the interstellar space is not a safe place; a collision with a piece of space debris is enough for a hole to appear in the hull of the station, and overloaded power generators can easily cause a fire. For this reason, it is worth thinking about a plan B in advance, or at least take care of creating an emergency power supply. Technical aspectsIxion has a decent quality graphic design.
