Moon Rising for PC is a science-fiction turn-based battle strategy game, developed by Moon Rising Team, a studio founded specifically to make this production. PlotThe story begins in 2099, when most of the Earth's natural resources have been depleted, and mining corporations had to move to the Moon to search for a new energy source: the helium-3 isotope. Soon a war for the most valuable deposits of the substance breaks out. The game features both a singleplayer story campaign and a multiplayer mode.. MechanicsThe combat in Moon Rising is turn-based. You use six kinds of units, which may seem not exactly much, but you can modify their loadout and equipment. The main focus of the game is capturing buildings. Refineries process Helium-3 and thanks to them you make money, which is in turn used to buy new troops, while the electricity necessary to supply them is produced by solar power plants. Apart from the story campaign, the game features single player-vs-AI skirmishes. The multiplayer mode allows for up to four players to play together and supports a ranking system, in which a player's standing is determined by their victory and loss count. The multiplayer mode moves are saved on a separate server, which allows for asynchronous multiplayer matches. In practice, in mean that the players can issue orders whenever they want, and they're notified about their opponents' moves via e-mail.
