Combat Squad: Project Wednesday is an online shooter. The production uses a free to play model with microtransactions and was developed by studio A-33, founded by developers who previously worked on Counter-Strike Online. MechanicsThe game offers only multiplayer battles. The action takes place in modern times, enabling us to take part in multiplayer battles of mercenaries. We can choose from a large gallery of characters with different special features, and each of the soldiers can be additionally adjusted to our needs by equipping them with various special attributes (so-called perks) and modifying their equipment. Interestingly, we do not fight alone. Before the game, we create our own team of five mercenaries and all of them take part in online battles. At any moment we can freely jump between the characters, and the others are controlled by artificial intelligence. The AI is competent and efficient on the battlefield, but it is possible to influence the behavior of the companions by issuing orders using the tactical system. Game modesCombat Squad: Project Wednesday offers several gameplay modes. They are based on competition, which takes place in two variants. In the first of them, two players are on the map and each of them has a five-person squad. The second variant is a battle of two teams, five users each so that a total of fifty mercenaries take part in the battle. There is also a cooperative zombie mode, in which a group of players must join forces and together repel the attacks of progressively more powerful waves of living corpses.
