Snowbound Online is an unofficial, Europeanized and improved successor to a sports game dedicated to entertaining hundreds of players on the Internet known as Project Powder. It is a free title, but with an implemented microtransaction system. The task of creating Snowbound Online and its continuous development was undertaken by the German developer Advanced Cyber Entertainment. The original was created in Studio Bluecat, which no longer exists in Korea. What counts most in this title is fast and spectacular snowboarding. There are only four avatars available in the game, representing players. Jack, Sunny, Ed and Rose, apart from their external appearance, differ in age, height, blood groups and zodiac signs. However, these attributes do not affect the game. The basis of the game is participation in snowboard competitions, in which prizes are money and experience. The first one can be spent on better or more visually attractive snowboard equipment (boards, goggles, boots, etc.). Experience enables access to more complicated tricks, of which there are several dozen in Snowbound Online. You can compete in two modes. Battle mode resembles PvP gameplay and follows a simple rule the first at the finish wins. Playing in the arcade mode of Coin mode consists in collecting coins scattered on the route. In both modes there is a possibility of team play. Initially in Snowbound Online there were 8 tracks of different difficulty levels, but the developers are constantly increasing this number. Snowboard racing takes place not only on snow, but also on sand and grass, which greatly diversifies the gameplay. The low quality of the graphic design can only be explained by hardware requirements. The game clearly stands out from most of today's MMOs, even free of charge. On the other hand, it is difficult to compare it with other titles, because due to the specific subject matter there is practically no competition on the market.
