Game description:
Galactic Command is the work of 3000AD programmers responsible for such classics as Battlecruiser or Universal Combat. This game, like the above mentioned series, also takes up the subject of simulation in space, but this time it was decided to go more in the direction of the action and we received a product similar to the Freespace series. The founder of the 3000AD studio, Derek Smart, stated that because of the representation of first-person shooters, the plot of the game is not the main issue, but for those who prefer to fight in the name of "higher goals", a certain plot has been prepared. The title forces of Galactic Command (GALCOM for short), were entangled in a long war with the Gammulans. Their temporary weakening was taken advantage of by the Rebels, the eternal nightmare of GALCOM, overthrowing the current government. Of course, this cannot happen, so GALCOM troops throw two pieces of their experimental spacecraft to fight against the Rebelantes. So we play the role of the pilot of the elite GALCOM forces and set off to fight. The only thing we have to take care of is the state of our fighter's guards, its armament, the amount of fuel and, of course, the execution of tasks set before us in a given mission. Return to the database in its entirety is also a priority here. Game creators have prepared 24 fighters at our disposal, differing in class, equipment and performance. More than 70 missions await us, ranging from classic escorting to typical "find and destroy" opponents. All this, of course, takes place in a huge universe, both in space and on the surface of the planets.
