Game description:
Drew Blanc is an aging animator working for a cartoon production company. His greatest success to date is the creation of the well-known and loved by children series with Fluffy Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun in the leading role, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary. On the occasion of this event, the new boss Blanca demands that efforts be stepped up and that new solutions be presented, preferably for tomorrow morning. Blanc, who is experiencing an internal creative crisis, falls asleep without even one sketch ready. When he finally wakes up, he discovers with amazement that he is in a completely different reality. Toonstruck, an interesting Virgin Entertainment adventure game, boasts such an unconventional story. Drew Blanc (played by Christopher Lloyd, known for his role of a mad professor in "Return to the Future") goes to the land of fairy tales called Cutopia, where he will help the ruling king to get rid of the evil and insidious invaders. His inseparable companion in this adventure will be Flux, a slightly quarrelsome manor, created on the drawing board of Blanca in the normal world. Toonstruck is a classic adventure with a "point & click" interface, i.e. the cursor changes depending on what can be done with the item. Some activities are performed by Wood itself, for others it will be necessary to use Flux. The game requires an unconventional approach to the matter, as the fairy-tale world is governed by slightly different rules and solving the problem in the traditional way does not always turn out to be appropriate. In Toonstruck, the most important role is played by very well realized dialogues, which are charged with a powerful dose of humour. Especially Flux, with its cool look at the world around you, can sometimes make you fall off your feet. There are many objects and sometimes it is difficult to clearly identify their use. Generally, the game is not the easiest one, but the excellent animations and dialogues mentioned above are positive towards further attempts to solve a given problem. The graphics are made in the style known from cartoons, excluding the character of Blanc, which was transferred alive from the film tape. The whole piece resembles the famous painting about the adventures of Rabbit Roger, with the difference that it is not the cartoon character who gets to the normal world, but vice versa.
