Game description:
Postal: Redux is the remake of a controversial action game developed by Running With Scissors. It was banned in many countries due to its sheer amount of aimless violence, though regardless it still became a cult classic with a devoted fanbase. The remake was created by the developers of the original game (as well as the entire series), who intended to modernize it for their audience. The game's title refers to the term "going postal", originating from the United States. Said term refers to people who committed violent acts due to tension and stress experienced during work. Such situations were prevalent in 1983-1997, when, in twenty similar incidents, the US Postal Service workers shot dead over 40 people in total. The game's playable character is "The Dude", suffering from a similar frenzy, prowling the city streets to murder anyone in his path. The game takes place in numerous varied locations, in which the protagonist vents his emotions. Completing a stage requires a specific number of points, which are earned mostly by as you've probably guessed killing people. This can be done in a number of ways, using various weaponry, including pistols, shotguns, rifles, gasoline bottles, landmines, grenades, grenade launchers, rocket launchers and flamethrowers. Unlike the two previous instalments, which were first-person and third-person action games, Postal: Redux is fully isometric, just like the original. The title runs on Unreal Engine 4. The locations were much improved, while the character models were made completely anew. Nevertheless, the game maintains the original's unique atmosphere.
