Game description:
Developed by XMPT Games, DiscStorm for PC and PSV is a multiplayer arcade production. The player assumes the role of a fighter armed with special discs. The action is dynamic, so mastery of skills and swift fingers are essential for success. PlotEven though this is primarily a multiplayer production, there is a single player campaign. The story is not very deep ? your goal is to become the Disc Master who is basically a warrior who attained mastery of using this bizarre weapon. The single player mode serves as a kind of training before the real deal ? battles with other players. MechanicsBattles take place in the special arenas. Most of them are rectangular and feature additional elements like portals or concrete poles. Each player tries to hit an opponent with a disc and, at the same time, avoid getting shot. Every player has a defined number of lives (one or a few, depending on the game mode) and once he loses them, he drops out from the tournament. Apart from the game mode concerned with killing the other competitors, DiscStorm also features a co-op in which you and other players fend off hordes of opponents controlled by AI. Most of them can be killed with a single shot, but you may come across more powerful enemies that need to be hit more than once. Technical aspectsThis is a 2D title with a top-down fixed view which enables players to see the whole battle ground.
