Game description:
Goken is an action RPG game, referring to the golden age of the genre. The title was developed by the Japanese studio Gianty, whose portfolio is mainly fed by mobile games. PlotGoken takes us on a journey to a fantastic world where people and gods lived in harmony before the eons. The land owed its peace and order to the hero named Edge, who received five powerful swords from the latter. But when one day this weapon turned against the deities, one of them, Ozone, sentenced the hero to exile and imprisoned him at the top of a mountain known as the Swords Peak. Five thousand years later, Edge is liberated by a girl living in the village of Cardina. From now on, his goal is to regain his precious weapon, for which he will need the help of both his saviour and the other inhabitants of the land. MechanicsIn Goken the action is shown in isometric view. The creators provide us with a vast open world; the places we visit are diverse, including dense forests, picturesque beaches, snow-covered mountain ranges or various towns and settlements. While crossing the land, we carry out tasks commissioned by its inhabitants, as well as we face all kinds of adversaries. The combat system is dexterity, and during the clashes we have to perform quick evasions and lead out rapid counter-attacks. The hero can use two selected weapons at the same time, which is important as some opponents are sensitive to attacks with a particular weapon type. As the protagonist progresses, the protagonist gains experience points and progresses to the next levels. Then he can decorate his body with one of the available tattoos increasing its combat potential by increasing the maximum number of points of life, extending the endurance belt, and learning new attacks. In addition, the Edge can upgrade weapons using the resources gained through adventure. Technical aspectsGoken attracts attention thanks to its colourful graphics in manga style.
