Toy Soldiers HD is a remastered version of the tower defense strategy, which in 2010 was released on the Xbox 360 console (two years later a PC version appeared). The game offers better graphic design, improved interface and new content. The game was developed by the authors of the original game, i. e. Signal Studios. MechanicsToy Soldiers HD is a real time strategy with arcade elements, where instead of real people we command plastic soldiers. This is a tower defense game the gameplay is mainly about fortifying the location and the objective is to stop the enemy's attack. Watching the action from above (we can move the camera freely) we control several dozen types of units (we have here both infantry with different types of equipment and e.g. tanks) and try to gain an advantage over the enemy. At any time we can also take control of one of the warriors directly and participate in the action then the game turns into a shooter. The remastered version of the game offers several different maps, user interface and camera settings fixes, as well as a new level of difficulty. Game modesIn Toy Soldiers HD we can play alone or with others. The game offers a role-playing campaign (along with DLC content for the original game, which has been integrated with the missions from the main game) and a multiplayer mode. Technical aspectsToy Soldiers HD has a three-dimensional graphic design that has been improved in comparison to the game from 2010. The developers provided support for higher resolution and increased texture detail, making the whole thing look noticeably better (although it is difficult to talk about a radical change).
