Legacy is an economic strategy game in which we manage a company producing and selling inventions. It was developed by 22cans, also known for Godus, Curiosity: What's Inside the Cube? and The Trail: Frontier Challenge. The game's creative lead is Peter Molyneux, known for Dungeon Keeper, Populous and Black & White. MechanicsThe game expands upon the ideas from The Entrepreneur, a 1984 text-based economic strategy game, Peter Molyneux's first project. Legacy has us playing as an inventor, combining various components to create new things. The player has lots of creative freedom, being able to construct toys, buildings, tools, electrical devices and many others. One can also go completely nuts, creating such things as a skateboard armed with live ammo. Noteworthy inventions will start selling in large amounts. Once they do, the game gains some company management mechanics. We must hire employees, order lots of resources, build factories, balance expenses and income. Legacy forces players to make difficult decisions, as being a good employer runs contrary to reaching the top of the business world. To achieve success, we must put morality aside.
