Game description:
Picross 3D Round 2 is the next installment of the series of logical games released on 3DS. Compared to the previous part of the series, this game features two new colors as well as more complex models hidden in particular puzzles. MechanicsPicross 3D Round 2 develops the ideas found in the first installment. The core of the gameplay is to paint individual fields of solids composed of cubic blocks to reveal the models hidden inside. The whole thing is based on the rules of a puzzle created by Japanese graphic artist Non Ishida, and the fun can be compared to Minesweeper, known from PC, transferred to a three-dimensional environment. The figure can be freely rotated, and the digits visible on individual blocks indicate how many adjacent cubes the player have to paint with a given color. If the blocks are colored correctly, they disappear, revealing a fragment of the model hidden behind them. Painting all the required blocks reveals a high-resolution 3D model depicting, for example, the heroes of Nintendo games. The complexity of each puzzle (300 in total) can be adjusted by selecting one of the three difficulty levels. Technical aspectsPicross 3D Round 2 on 3DS is based on a completely new technology, which has resulted in a significant improvement in the graphic design compared to the first part of the series.
