MechanicsThe gameplay mechanics in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus ? Episode Zero do not differ much from what players might remember from the base game. The new campaign has been divided into consecutive missions, during which one can explore various locations and eliminate numerous opponents (including both humans and battle machines) with a wide variety of available weapons. Interestingly enough, all three protagonists are diversified in terms of their abilities and preferred weaponry ? for example, Stallion throws himself at the enemies armed with two machine pistols, while Jessica prefers a stealth approach and eliminates the opponents from a safe distance. Technical aspectsThe PC, PS4 and XONE release of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus ? Episode Zero is not a standalone expansion, as it requires a base game in order to work. It can be purchased as a part of the season pass, which includes also the three remaining add-ons.
