Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness is an action RPG based on the manga by Akihito Tsukushi and its TV series adaptation. It was developed by Chime Corporation studio and published by Spike Chunsoft. PlotMade in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness takes us to the fantastic universe created for the manga. Game takes place in the city of Orth, which was raised over a huge system of caves the Abyss. A curse hangs over the undergrounds, which causes the adventurers who try to explore the depths to fall ill, making it difficult or even impossible for them to return to the surface. To make matters worse, the tunnels are inhabited by predatory creatures that pose a deadly threat. Yet many still choose to face the Abyss, drawn to it by artifacts and other remnants of civilizations long past. Some of these cave raiders have become true legends, known as the White Whistles. One such legend was Lyza, who failed to return from her last expedition. The game includes two story modes. The first one allows us to take part in events presented in the manga and the anime series based on it. Its main character is Lyza's daughter Riko who grows up in an orphanage, dreaming of one day following in her mother's footsteps and becoming one of the White Whistles. One day, the girl finds a boy-like robot whom she names Reg. Soon after, Lyza's notes and her message to Riko are found in the caves, according to which a woman is waiting for her at the bottom of the Abyss. Without thinking too long, the heroine and her companion embark on a dangerous journey into the depths of the underground tunnels. The second story mode allows us to take on the role of our own character and experience a completely new adventure in the Abyss. Game mechanicsIn Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness we observe the action from a third person perspective (TPP). We meet various characters, have conversations and perform numerous tasks. Besides, traversing the Abyss we have to face with different opponents. During quick battles we use cold weapons and various combat skills of protagonists. As we progress we develop our characters, which allows us to face more and more dangers.
