We are Legion: Rome is an action adventure game with RPG elements, which lets us take the role of a Roman legionary. The game was developed by the Polish studio Titanite Games (previously known as Tap It Games), and was published by Gaming Factory. PlotWe are Legion: Rome takes us back to a time when the Roman Empire was a true global power. The Empire owed its position above all to well-trained and loyal soldiers, who would stop at nothing to defend their homeland or shed the blood of those who stood in the way of its expansion. During the game, we take on the role of one of the legionaries taking part in bloody battles, who with each successive victory gradually climbs the ranks of the military hierarchy. He does everything for the glory of Rome and the Emperor, as well as with the thought that in the future his efforts will be appreciated, thanks to which he will be able to stand at the head of a legion. MechanicsIn We are Legion: Rome we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). The core of the gameplay are large-scale battles, which take place in cities, forests or on vast plains. During them we are given a variety of objectives to complete, so it comes to slaughtering hordes of enemies, flanking enemy armies, defending strategic points or operating siege machines. Battles are dynamic and brutal (decapitations and chopping off limbs are a regular feature), with dexterity and reflexes playing a key role. Over time, however, blindly following orders and effectively eliminating enemies is no longer enough to succeed. With promotions in the military hierarchy come new responsibilities. Once we manage to lead the legion, it will be necessary to show a strategic sense, skillfully give orders to our subordinates and develop appropriate tactics based on the situation on the battlefield. With military ranks the combat potential of the character also increases. The development of the hero, the skills he possesses and the weapons he uses will determine the type of cohort he decides to join. While defensive troops use shields and short swords, soldiers who are trained for offensive actions rely mainly on aggression and the strength of their attack and can, among other things, counter-attack and feint. The time between bloody battles is spent in the camp, where we learn about the storyline and establish relationships with other legionaries. Besides, the protagonist can write letters to his beloved there, reporting on her wartime wandering. Technical aspectsWe are Legion: Rome features attractive graphics.
