Setting Sun is a roguelike set in Japan of the Edo era, concentrated on fighting with a hordes of enemies on automatically generated maps. Game was developed by Yean studio. The country was plunged into fear and chaos by the shogun ruling with a iron hand. A few travelers, including the protagonist, make an attempt to restore order in Japan. They will try to achieve this by fighting their way through hordes of monsters on their way to the daimyo's castle, which is the source of the islands' warfare. MechanicsThe world of Setting Sun consists of automatically generated maps, thanks to which each player will encounter a slightly different experience. The locations are divided into several types, among which we find enemy rooms, healing rooms and gambling rooms. Battles with enemies are arcade and dynamic, and we observe everything from a camera placed above the character. Opponents are divided into ordinary and bosses, which we meet at the end of each location.
