FIFA Manager 13 is a next game in the cycle of football managers published by Electronic Arts. Production of the 13th game was done by German studio, Bright Future, the creators of the previous parts of the FIFA Manager series. In the latest edition, a number of significant changes were made in the game with a special emphasis put on the psyche and personality of the players. The game, like other football managements, focuses on the skilful management of the selected football team. One of hundreds of available teams belonging to many of the world football leagues club consisting of both very famous and less well-known players may be chosen and managed. As in the previous installments, the skills of each football player are determined by a number of factors. In this regard, however, the developers introduced additional improvements by which the player can learn a lot about a football player's personality, such as general traits, ego, main objectives, and motivations. To a good manager, the last two are particularly important so as to enable a member of the team to realize his dreams as a professional footballer which significantly increases his morale, satisfaction with the game and work in the club, as well as his skills on the pitch. Objectives of the football players are very varied: some want to go in the first team, while others want to play for their country, increase theor skills, perform penalty kicks, etc. Developers also highlighted the relationship of the football players with their families and fellow players. With information about arguments and quarells inside the team, the player can take appropriate actions to eliminate the problem, thereby increasing the efficiency of the entire team. FIFA Manager 13 is equipped with a powerful scheduling options, allowing for better time management team and taking necessary steps in advance. Additional tools allow to, for example, select the current composition, planning negotiations with the football players who would like to transfer to the player?s team, monitor upcoming major events (important matches, transfers, completion of modernization of stadiums, etc.), or forecasting a player's career (taking into account factors such as injuries, his talent, and the number of matches played). Manager with the number 13 was improved also in visual terms: the main change in the graphics layer is the increase of the base screen resolution from 1024x768 to 1280x1024. Thanks to this, the game not only looks better, but the management screen is more functional, because it allows for placing a larger number of elements of the game interface (containing information about the team and the players) as well.
