Battlefield Online is a slightly altered version of Battlefield 2, developed for waging free online duels between players prioritizing fun over tactics and realism. The production was developed at the offices of the Korean studio, Neowiz Games, which could count on the continued support from EA DICE, the true producer of Battlefield cycle. In the game, we get the opportunity to participate in battles fought between the American and Russian army. Combat takes place on both brand new and already known maps (e.g. Karkand and Zatar) with up to 64 participants. Battlefield Online for PC is based entirely on the second installment of the Battlefield series, so the style and unusual gameplay is not surprising. The only significant change is a slight acceleration of gameplay and its facilitation. This makes the game very arcade. The battles are characterized by great dynamics and large randomness. Compared with Battlefield 2, the graphics were also downgraded, so they look satisfactorily at most, mainly due to the use of low quality textures.
