Banner of the Maid is a tactical RPG game, which draws inspiration from such titles as Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, and Mercenaries Saga. The main character of the game is Pauline Bonaparte, the younger sister of the already famous Napoleon, who after graduating from the military academy dreams of social advancement. The protagonist intends to meet her brother, but on the way, she is dragged into the revolutionary whirlwind. Pauline sees this as an opportunity to show off the skills acquired at school. In addition to Pauline and Napoleon Bonaparte, the game features other historical characters, including Napoleon's first wife (Josephine de Beauharnais) and other famous military characters (Jean Lannes and Louis Charles Antoine Desaix).
