Game description:
The PC and XONE release of MagNets is an arcade game in which a player has to tame numerous primitive drones wreaking havoc in the futuristic Polarity City. The game has been developed by the independent British Total Monkery studio led by the veteran of the video game industry ? Richard Weeks. PlotThe action of the game is set in Polarity City, where most of the basic activities are performed by the simple drones called bloxbots. One day, these machines go rogue and begin to wreak havoc ? all this because of the so-called MAyOR, the main robot in Polarity City, who wants to take control over the city. During the game, a player assumes the role of the android named Faraday equipped with a gadget called the electromagnetic net. A player is tasked with restoring order and dealing with the trouble-making robot. MechanicsPlayers get at their disposal over twenty levels divided into four separate zones. In each zone, one?s objective is to eliminate the chaotic drones that attack the protagonist with their lasers and other deadly weapons. A player can disable those robots with the special electromagnetic net that destroys the rebellious robots and allows the main protagonist to acquire precious materials from the wreckages of the neutralized robots. Upon gathering a sufficient amount of resources, one can use a special module called the recycletrone, in which he can create items necessary for completing a given level or useful gadgets ensuring additional protection to the main protagonist. Depending on players? skills, one can select one of the three available difficulty levels Medium, Hard, and Impossible. Moreover, the game features the Casual mode dedicated for younger players, in which the main protagonist has more health, while the online ranking boards are disabled. Game modesInitially, the PC and XONE release of MagNets has been designed for solo gameplay and local PvP mode; however, with consecutive updates the game received the cooperative mode for up to four players. Misc.Developers from Total Monkery have launched a quite original marketing campaign of their game.
