The Protagonist: EX-1 is an indie game in which we control the special agent Angel and our task is to infiltrate and neutralize the enemies, as well as to find the members of the strike group with whom we got separated, arriving at the alien space station. The game was developed by 3Mind Games studio and published by All in! Games known for productions such as Ghostrunner, Metamorphosis and Tools Up!. PlotIn an alternative distant future, a huge space station of a synthetic alien race appears in orbit. The Terran race makes contact with them, which definitely does not go well As a result, a special elite strike force consisting of special agents is sent to the alien ship in order to neutralise them. However, a simple mission becomes complicated and the group is split up. Taking on the role of group leader Angela, a martial arts specialist, we wake up in a strange infirmary and to top it all off we don't have any memories of the incident. So we face the task of finding the missing team members and completing the quest. MechanicsThe Protagonist: EX-1 is a tactical turn-based game focused on fighting with an alien race with the use of various strikes and tricks from different martial arts. The game doesn't differ too much from other similar titles, such as the Shadowrun series. The game features free exploration of the ship, but also tactical battles using action points necessary to move around the grid, attack, defend and use additional skills. However, it is worth noting that the selection of appropriate sequences of weaker and stronger attacks and the creation of combos play a large role during the fight. There are 7 playable characters in the game, which will be able to join our team, only after we push the storyline forward. Each of them can develop different skills thanks to special points earned for leveling up the character by killing enemies and more. Heroes can also be upgraded with the use of equipment parts.
