LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars for PC, X360 and etc. is the third Star Wars game set in world of LEGO. The title was developed by Traveller?s Tales, the creators of all previous LEGO games (including LEGO Batman, Harry Potter, and Indiana Jones). StoryIn LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars you take part in the so-called Clone Wars, a galactic conflict between the Republic and the Separatists. The events are presented from the perspectives of about a dozen different heroes, whereas completing the main story unlocks new ones. The game is based on the popular animated TV series, which means that you get to meet many characters that appeared only there. The story is divided into three separate scenarios focusing on three different opponents: Count Dooku, General Grievous, and Asajj Ventress. Each scenario consists of 6 missions corresponding to consecutive episodes of the TV show. GameplayThe Clone Wars for PC, X360 and etc. is a typical representative of the LEGO series from Traveller?s Tales. Players can beat the game's few dozen levels either solo or in a two-person co-op (when playing alone you can freely switch between characters). The game itself is an action-adventure platformer filled with puzzles to solve, opponents to beat, and hidden objects to find. The sheer number of secrets is astonishing ? finding them all is quite a challenge, one that takes many hours of gameplay. There are also missions in which you get to pilot a starfighter and destroy the Separatist ships. A brand new element of gameplay are battles on the surface of planets, where you command a squads of clones or walk around in an AT-TE walker, build an army, destroy the enemy, and capture strategic points on the map. Apart from main story missions, the developers prepared many extra levels, in which you play as Count Dooku and General Grievous and lead the Separatists against the armies of the Republic. TechnologyAs a point of interest, new visuals should be mentioned, now more detailed and better-looking than before. This was achieved with a completely new system of lighting. Although the backgrounds look more realistic, characters are still made of LEGO bricks. At the same time the developers managed to retain the characteristic feel of the space saga, thanks largely to the excellent music by John Williams, the composer of the original soundtrack to the Star Wars movies.
