Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition is a Japanese role-playing game developed by Square Enix and released on AND, PC and iOS. The title uses episodic distribution model that enables the player to download the first episode for free and unlock the remaining ones with microtransactions. PlotThe story in the game adapts the scenario of Final Fantasy XV. The title features all characters and same plots as the console version of the game. Prince Noctis avoids being captured because during the destruction he is on a journey with his friends. He was meant to meet with his future wife ? a prophet named Lunafreya Nox Fleuret. She comes from Tenebrae, a country that remained neutral. Once the protagonist discovers what happened to his home, he must decide what to do while also hide from the soldiers of empire hunting them. MechanicsFinal Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition for AND, PC and iOS is a classic Japanese RPG. It features long story campaign and a large world to visit, filled with optional side quests. The title also features character development system and the traditional option to ride Chocobo. The battle is played in real time and is strongly action-based. The player must manually perform all attacks and his or hers reflexes are as important for the outcome of the battle as the character?s skills. During the game the players can only control Noctis, but his friends, controlled by artificial intelligence, accompany him in battles. Exploration is an important aspect of the game. The map can be travelled through with a car that automatically moves through roads. However, it is possible to leave the vehicle at any time and go off the path in order to look for secrets or complete additional quests. Technical aspectsThe graphics style is the greatest change in comparison to original game. While Final Fantasy XV features serious tone and realistic characters, Pocket Edition features much a much more lighthearted approach and a more humoristic atmosphere. Character designs are slightly grotesque and similar to the style of 32-bit games. The change of style doesn?t mean the game looks worse.
