Players take control of the sixteen-year-old pilot of a combat vehicle, Roddy. They spend most of the time at the controls of the SOPHIA J-7, which can move on land, water and float in the air, and is also equipped with various types of weaponry. Sometimes only the construction of the map requires leaving the cockpit and continuing exploration in the body of the teenage hero. As part of the progress, players are rewarded with subsequent improvements to the vehicle, which increase its capabilities and enables it to reach previously inaccessible areas. The energy shield and homing rockets are waiting to be unlocked. Gameplay in Blaster Master: Blasting Again is diversified by boss battles against huge monsters. Different parts of their bodies have separate health bars, and defeating them requires the development of specific tactics. Technical aspectsThe story presented in the game developed by Sunsoft is based on novel created in the nineties.
