Mercyful Flames is an RPG in which we play the role of an inquisitor tracking down the minions of dark forces in an alternative version of the Middle Ages. PlotIn Mercyful Flames, the player takes on the role of an occultist, who becomes an inquisitor. The protagonist is trying to save a loved one, going as far as exceptional cruelty. The gameplay is mainly about investigating, which requires exploring locations, searching for various evidence and clues, as well as conversations with NPCs. During conversations we use the protagonist's intelligence we can influence others through persuasion or fear. We interrogate those suspected of pacting with the devil using a variety of torture tools including machines developed by ourselves. We burn guilty people on stakes.
