Arboria is an action adventure game in TPP convention with RPG elements. The game is based on the rules of the roguelite sub-genre. It is a debut production of the Bydgoszcz-based independent studio Dreamplant founded in 2018. PlotThe game takes place in the dark world of science fantasy, precisely in the Durnar undergrounds, which hides many dangers.. The hero, a Yotun warrior called the Chosen One, leaves his once peaceful village to save the Father Tree and to learn the secrets of his tribe, restore his former honor and satisfy the increasingly greedy gods. Sick Yggr is attacked by hungry beasts from the underworld and to do so, Yotun warriors must go to Durnar to stop them and kill Jormund. MechanicsArboria is a TPP roguelite action game, and thus the game is focused on a rather demanding real-time fight, where you have to pick the right moment to attack or dodge before hitting your opponents. The hero of the game is a tree warrior from the Yotun tribe, who has been equipped with symbiotic weapons and mutations, thanks to which he can use appropriate tactics depending on the enemy. In the game you will also find more difficult battles with bosses, each of which requires an individual approach. Death of a character is associated with starting again and the difficulty level is adjusted to the player's skills. Therefore, the better you fight, the stronger your enemies will be. During the game, however, it is possible to develop the hero, which makes it easier to overcome further obstacles. The player can improve not only the features of the hero, but the wide range of abilities of the Chosen One. Although the action takes place in the dark undergrounds of Durnar, the locations are generated randomly, giving the impression of being unique in each subsequent game. Technical aspectsThe graphics in Arboria, which was developed on the popular Unreal Engine 4, is fully three-dimensional. We visit mainly the dark undergrounds of Durnar filled with various types of plants and trees.
