What Never Was is a first-person adventure game that takes place in modern times. The story presented in this production is inspired by Nordic myths and the work of the horror master H.P. Lovecraft, which is often adapted into video games. Acke Hallgren, a former employee of Avalanche Studios, is responsible for developing this production. Playing the role of Sarah, the player explores the attic, examins items, reads entries in books and diaries and solves logic puzzles.
