Empyrion: Galactic Survival Dark Faction is an expansion for Empyrion: Galactic Survival, a sandbox game released in 2020, mixing elements of survival action games and space simulators. The DLC was developed by the authors of the original, namely the independent team Eleon Game Studios. PlotEmpyrion: Galactic Survival Dark Faction introduces a new storyline in which our task is to face a mortal danger that threatens the entire galaxy. The titular Dark Faction spreads across subsequent planetary systems, infecting all living organisms, and it's up to us to stop it before things completely get out of control. MechanicsEmpyrion: Galactic Survival Dark Faction presents an alternative story that can be fully explored only after starting a new game. If we decide to continue playing the base version of the game, we can check out the new content without the new storyline. In addition to the story of the Dark Faction, the DLC brings additional planets with previously unseen, deadly conditions and other threats. New objects can be found in the crafting system. The add-on allows creating devices not present in the original, such as a translocator, phase shield, and warped shield. The list of new features is complemented by a melee combat system and previously unavailable weapons.
