Obviously, the game retains the formula of a spectacular first person shooter, but apart from running and shooting as usual, the player is put in control of a Jackal fighter plane to participate in fierce, aerial battles. The Retribution warship is the player's base of operations the player selects subsequent story missions or sets out for raids against the enemy. Significantly, the game was designed in such a way, that the player is capable of switching from one gameplay component to another fluently, without having to wait through loading screens too often.
