Windscape is a first-person action adventure game with RPG elements, focusing on exploration and offering a lot of freedom and interesting graphics, which can be associated with such titles as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Firewatch. The title was developed by the independent studio Magic Sandbox, and published by Headup Games (known, among others, for the release of the well-received platform roguelike Dead Cells). PlotIn Windscape we play as Ida, a young girl who lives on her parents' farm on one of the flying islands that make up the world. The girl discovers that something terrible has happened that could endanger everything by shattering the land into pieces. The heroine tries to discover, find and overcome the evil that threatens her home. MechanicsWindscape is a game that eludes simple genre classification, although it is closest to being an action or RPG adventure game. In the game, we observe the action from FPP. The mainstay of the game is exploration, collection of objects and interaction with NPCs, for whom we can work or perform various tasks. The game also features combat. The challenges posed by the game are dealt with by an extensive system of crafting that enables us to create many useful items, such as food, weapons, shields, potions and spells. In the game world, we can also find numerous unique and hand-crafted dungeons and caves, full of puzzles and extremely dangerous enemies, such as ghosts, ogres and dragons. Overcoming them often requires appropriate tactics. Game modesWindscape can be played solo or with others. The mainstay of the game is the single-player campaign. Technical aspectsWindscape features interestingly designed, three-dimensional visuals. Despite them being 3D, both the character models and the game world look like they were pulled straight from a cartoon, and at the same time they are quite "angular" the shapes from which they were made are clearly visible.
