Tales of Herring Lake is a detective adventure game and fishing simulator. The game was developed by Bit Golem, a Polish studio known for such projects as Dagon: by H.P. Lovecraft or Ultimate Fishing Simulator. PlotTales of Herring Lake takes us on a journey to the lake. During the game we play the role of an angler... and it depends only on us whether we'll spend our time here fishing or we decide to check what mysteries are hidden in this picturesque area. MechanicsIn Tales of Herring Lake we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). The gameplay takes place during one day of game time. During the game we can devote ourselves entirely to fishing. This is encouraged by the extensive mechanics associated with fishing, which even a serious simulator would not be ashamed of. On the other hand, things like noises coming from a nearby cave or a strange object floating in the water make us quickly start asking ourselves questions about whether something bad is going on here. In order to solve the mystery of this place, we have to go for a walk around the area and look into every corner, gradually gathering scraps of information. The plot of this game is non-linear, and which of its endings we will see depends on our actions and choices we make. Technical aspectsTales of Herring Lake features high quality graphics.
