Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is a jRPG and a new installment in a series originating from 1997. It's a free-to-play game featuring microtransactions, co-developed by Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games. PlotAtelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is set in a fantasy kingdom of Lantarna. Its inhabitants harnessed the power of a passing comet, practicing alchemy that provided them with peace and prosperity. Once the comet finally faded away, so did the memory of alchemy. The game features two protagonists: Resna, who sets out to the World's End to find a source of alchemy and become an alchemist, and Valeria, an adventurer working for the ominous Moonlight Society. They join forces to achieve their goals and gradually discover the world's secrets. MechanicsAtelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is a third-person game. By traversing the game's world and completing quests, we gather useful resources, equipment and fight many enemies. Combat is turn-based, having us use various attacks and skills, exploiting our characters' strengths and our enemies' weaknesses. As we progress, other heroes and heroines join us, granting us more options in battle. Alchemy plays a major role in the game, being a crafting system letting us create potions and items. The process is a mini-game, in which we must match together traits of components to achieve the desired effect. As we progress, we develop the protagonists, unlocking and upgrading their skills.
