Rise of the Ronin is an action RPG with an open world. The game was developed by Team Ninja studio, the authors of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and the NiOh and Ninja Gaiden series. PlotThe game's plot is set in 19th-century Japan, during the brutal period known as the Bakumatsu, or the final years of the Edo era, when the country was transforming from a feudal empire ruled by the Tokugawa shogunate into a more modern state controlled by Emperor Mutsuhito. The player takes on the role of a ronin, or warrior without a master, who is free to decide his own fate. He travels across Japan, taking on a variety of challenges, changing the fate of the people he encounters, as well as influencing the outcome of the entire civil war. Game mechanicsRise of the Ronin is an action RPG, in which we observe events from a third-person camera. During the game we explore a large world with an open structure, talk to characters, complete quests and develop the character's skills. Above all, however, as befits an action-RPG game, we spend most of our time fighting. The skirmish system is spectacular and challenging, offering a rich selection of attacks and techniques.
