Chains of Fury is am FPS that pays tribute to classics such as Doom and Blood, but at the same time offers attractive modern visuals and solutions associated with modern games (e.g. destructible environment). The title was developed by independent Polish studio Cobble Games and Art Games Studio and published by Gaming Factory. PlotThe action of the game takes place in an unspecified future. The player takes on the role of a mercenary a man for extremely dirty work who, after completing one of his jobs, is betrayed and imprisoned. The hero decides to escape, get back at his former employers and get back the money they still owe him. MechanicsChains of Fury is a classic FPS, whose gameplay formula refers to the famous Doom from id Software. The gameplay comes down to wandering through vast locations (several different levels have been prepared) and eliminating enemies using a rich arsenal of weapons (mainly firearms). We can also look for various kinds of secrets and collectibles. Polish developers have set the goal of fine-tuning the classic FPS convention by removing frustrating elements and adding ideas and solutions that are hard to find in those games. An example is the extensive destruction system, which enables us to, among other things, destroy walls and doors. Instead of looking for the keys to get us somewhere, we can just kick down the gate and get on the road. Game modesChains of Fury can be played solo or with others. The mainstay of the game is the single-player mode, but the developers have also prepared a local cooperation mode (on split screen). Technical aspectsChains of Fury features attractive visuals, designed in such a way that despite its three-dimensional character, the game seems to resemble a 2D title more specifically, a comic book (the devs admit that they were inspired by Lobo and Hellboy series, as well as Mike Mignola's illustrations). The appearance of both locations and characters, and even the effects of shots and explosions, are made to resemble comic books.
