Batman: Dark Tomorrow is a dynamic arcade game in which we have the opportunity to play as the title superhero. Unlike many other productions of this type, where classic TPP view is used, this time a combination of moving and static cameras has been used. This game represents a genre of so called beat'em ups, although it also offers many elements typical for stealth games or less complex adventure games. Hotgen Studios is responsible for the development of Dark Tomorrow. The company has also developed games such as Eggo Mania or World's Scariest Police Chases 2. Batman: Dark Tomorrow was released on Xbox and Gamecube. The version for Microsoft's console looks a bit nicer. In terms of mechanics both editions present a very similar level of execution. The plot does not play a very important role during the game. The title character once again has to face the villains who threaten the safety of Gotham City. It is worth noting that the script for the game was prepared by two famous people Scott Peterson and Kenji Terada (Final Fantasy series). Interestingly, the player's progress is illustrated by professionally prepared cut-scenes. Dark Tomorrow is above all a quite complex fighting game. Our character can execute many different types of attacks. In some situations, the game also rewards hiding so that it is easier to get into enemy territory or to gain an important item more quickly. In such situations, Batman can take advantage of many additional moves stay in the crouching position, sticking to the wall, or leaning out from corners. As befits a superhero, the character can also use spectacular acrobatics. Many of them can be used to eliminate enemies faster. Both common bandits and stronger opponents, acting as bosses, stand in our way. These include Joker, Killer Croc, Ratcatcher, Scarface, or Black Mask. In some missions the protagonist can use the Batmobile and other means of transport. However, these levels serve as more complex mini-games, not having much influence on the development of the game. Noteworthy is also the rich arsenal of gadgets and additional items that Batman can use. These include winches, night vision devices, portable first-aid kits, capsules enabling the hero to dazzle his enemies, or specially prepared lockpicks.
