Omno is an adventure game enriched with platformer elements. The production was developed and released by StudioInkyfox, a one-man company led by Jonas Manke, an independent German developer for whom this is a debut project. StoryOmno takes us on a journey to a fantasy land once inhabited by a powerful civilization. We travel through this strange world as a man equipped with a magical staff. MechanicsIn Omno the action is shown from the third person perspective (TPP). The main element of the game is the exploration of the world our character travels through dense forests, sunburned desert and frosty tundra. The protagonist encounters a variety of animal-like creatures from jellyfish that float in the air, to friendly rodents, to giant creatures similar to dinosaurs. The game also revolves around several other important elements, such as puzzle solving, platformer sections, and avoiding various obstacles, in the case of which the above-mentioned staff proves indispensable. Thanks to the magical abilities that the staff provides, the protagonist can activate ancient mechanisms or move from place to place without any issues by floating just above the ground or by using a kind of teleportation. In addition, over time we also unlock new skills for our character. Technical issuesOmno is based on the Unreal Engine 4 engine. The three-dimensional graphics of this production attract attention not only because of their rich colours but also because of the interesting design.
