BattleLore: Command, released on PC, AND and iOS, is a turn-based strategy and a loose adaptation of the popular BattleLore board game. The production was developed by Fantasy Flight Interactive, the authors of the original board game. PlotThe action of BattleLore: Command is set in a fantasy world known as Terrinoth. We play the role of a commander of the Daqan army, whose task is to defeat the monsters gathered under the banner of the Uthuk Y'llan Empire. The campaign consists of a linear sequence of missions with various objectives. Apart from classic clashes, we also defend villages, protect civilians during evacuation and search for magical artifacts. MechanicsBattleLore: Command isn't a typical adaptation of the board game, in which the gameplay is limited to manipulating simple virtual versions of paper elements known from the original. Instead, the game is a classic strategy, with an extensive campaign and 3D graphics. Also, the world and the plot are new. Only the combat rules are a heavily reworked version of the table version of BattleLore Second Edition. We start the game with only simple units archers and city guards. As the campaign progresses, we increase our army by getting other troops such as cavalry, knights and powerful golems. Each unit has at least one special skill. The same rules also apply to Uthuk Y'llan's troops, which are also regularly joined by new monsters. The combat system is tactically developed, where aspects such as covers and flanking attacks play a key role. Game modesIn addition to the story campaign, BattleLore: Command also offers a multiplayer mode where players can command both the forces of the Daqan Lords and the armies of Uthuk Y'llan.
