Game description:
Tales From Off-Peak City Vol. 1 is an adventure game developed by an independent developer known as Cosmo D. The game is the first part of the anthology, the subsequent versions of which tell different stories. However, each of them runs parallel to the others and in the same place, which makes them all together form one big story. PlotTales From Off-Peak City Vol. 1 takes us on a journey to the universe of the developer's previous games, Off-Peak and The Norwood Suite. During the game, we find ourselves on the corner of July Avenue and Yam Street, where is the pizzeria owned by Caetano Grosso, a retired saxophonist who now earns money serving Italian delicacy. Although we play the role of his supplier, our primary goal is not to work but to get the old saxophone belonging to Grosso. In order to achieve this, we must both perform our professional duties and learn the secrets of our boss and his clients. MechanicsIn Tales From Off-Peak City we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). When fulfilling orders placed by customers (the game allows us to select individual ingredients of the pizza by ourselves), we cannot forget about exploring the surroundings. While exploring the corners of the pizzeria, plundering apartments and talking to the residents, not only do we gradually get closer to our main goal, but we also learn more about the secrets of this place. The game was designed in such a way that it takes one and a half to two hours to complete. Technical issues:Tales From Off-Peak City runs on Unity technology. The audiovisual setting of this game has been maintained in the surrealistic style known from Cosmo D's previous works, which manifests itself both through the unnatural appearance and behaviour of the characters and the unusual (to put it mildly) architecture.
