Game description:
Void and Meddler for PC is an episodic cyberpunk point-and-click adventure game, developed by the two-person studio NO cvt. The game's prototype was created for the PointClickJam competition, in which it came third. Together with Mi-Clos (known for e.g. Out There: Omega Edition) they decided to remake it as a proper commercial production. PlotThe story is set in a futuristic city, where the gender and differences between species became blurred, and as a result of taking special hormonal medicines, humans started to collect people's memories, which allow them to change their lives and become who they always wanted to be. The game's protagonist, a girl named Fyn, decides that she's had enough of her present life, devoid of goals and dominated by somebody else's memories. She begins a surreal journey to discover her own identity and establish who she really is. MechanicsThe plot is divided into six episodes, which are in turn divided into six acts in total. The story is non-linear and it can take a different turn depending on your decisions and how you solve puzzles. The atmosphere is quite dark and surreal, inspired by road movies, the culture and music of the 1980s and the works of Philip K. Dick, William Gibson and David Cronenberg. Technical aspectsThe visuals complement the gameplay's atmosphere perfectly.
