Game description:
Kawiteros for PC is a 2D logic puzzle game inspired by beliefs and traditions of the Huichol people of Middle America. PlotYou play as a young Huichol shaman, who tries to gain wisdom and experience needed to properly serve his people. During the game, he traverses the magical version of the Sierra Madre mountains, full of dangers, but also of things and beings that help you on the way. MechanicsThe game resembles a 2D platformer, but the gameplay focuses on exploring the world and solving puzzles. When doing the latter, you use the shaman's power to connect apparently unrelated fragments of reality, such as objects, animals, and plants. You do that by drawing straight lines with your mouse. Every such combination has different results. The protagonist can also perform various rituals to change the world or the shaman himself and thus find ways to overcome obstacles. Technical aspectsThe Huichol are known for their unusual art, utilizing almost psychedelic colors. The creators of Kawiteros decided to use that style when creating the visuals for the game. The final result is attractive and vastly different than most of the productions in the genre.
