Daemon X Machina is an action game born from the cooperation between Marvelous and First Studio. The title was developed for Switch and its main producer is Kenichiro Tsukuda, who was previously responsible for the development of the Armored Core series; in addition, the work involved such personalities as Yusuke Kozaki (Fire Emblem Fates, Pokemon GO), Shoji Kawamori (Macross and Escaflowne), as well as Ken Awata and Ken Karube (Monster Hunter Stories). StoryDaemon X Machina takes us on a journey through a world destroyed by a cosmic cataclysm; half of the Moon has fallen to the Earth, devastating its surface and bringing humanity to the brink of extinction. However, in the aftermath of the incident, an unknown element appeared on the Earth the substance, known as Femto, proved to be an efficient source of energy; in addition, it awakened unprecedented possibilities in people exposed to it, which quickly led to a war for control of the resources. In order to ensure the safety of civilians, special territories have been created called Ovales, in which soldiers sitting at the helm of mechs fight fierce battles. MechanicsIn Daemon X Machina we observe the action from third-person perspective. The game is reminiscent of the classic installments of the Armored Core series, so during the game, we sit at the helm of one of the aforementioned mechs (called Arsenals) and take part in dynamic and spectacular battles against other machines. We eliminate opponents using an extensive arsenal of firearms (including various rifles, laser guns, and rocket launchers), as well as melee weapons. In addition, as we progress, we unlock new equipment for our machine. Due to the fact that mechs can not only move on the surface but also fly, battles often move into the sky. In addition to the standard adversaries, which are not too difficult to overcome, we also face powerful bosses, much more dangerous nad resistant to out attacks. Technical aspectsThree-dimensional visuals of Daemon X Machina adopt the cel-shading style. The game is accompanied by a soundtrack composed by Junichi Nakatsuru (author of the music for the Soulcalibur series) and Rio Hamamoto (who in turn prepares the soundtrack of the Tekken series).
