Game description:
Adios is an adventure game developed by independent studio Mischief. The game was developed by Doc Burford, who previously delivered the experimental Paratopic. PlotAdios takes us on a journey to the Midwestern United States, specifically the state of Kansas. The main character of the game is an American farmer. The protagonist makes a living by cooperating with the local mafia, which supplies him with the dismembered bodies of their victims, with which he feeds the pigs he raises. One day he decides to break with his life and informs his friendly hitman about that. The man spends the whole day with him, trying to convince him to change his mind, otherwise he will have to kill him. How the farmer's fate will turn out depends on the decisions we make. MechanicsIn Adios the action is shown from a first person perspective (FPP). The gameplay has a calm pace. During the game we have conversations with the killer and we perform farmer's everyday duties such as feeding pigs and cleaning their corral, milking goats or repairing the car. As we can freely walk around the farm, nothing prevents us from looking into its nooks and crannies and learning its secrets. Knowledge about them might come in handy; we are talking, for example, about the shotguns and pistols hanging in the basement of the protagonist's house... Technical aspectsAdios features colourful graphics done in cel-shading technique. The graphics is maintained in a pleasant to the eye, slightly caricatured style. Last updated on 18 March 2021
