Kelvin and the Infamous Machine for PC is a two-dimensional point & click adventure game based on the popular theme of a crazy scientist and time travel. The game was created by Blyts ? an independent Argentinean developer mainly known for a series of mobile logic games Greedy Spiders. PlotThe player assumes the role of Kelvin ? a young assistant of dr. Edwin Lupin, who is both a physicist and an avid inventor. When the work of Lupin's life ? a time machine having the shape of a shower cabin is being laughed at loudly, dr. Lupin goes insane and an absurd vengeance plan is born in his mind. He decides to travel back in time using his machine, in order to prevent the world's greatest inventors from achieving their goals. Dr. Lupin wants to finish their works and become the one considered the actual inventor. When the history of the world begins to change as a result of dr. Lupin's actions, Kelvin and his friend Lise travel in time after the crazy scientist to make his wrongdoing futile. MechanicsKelvin and the Infamous Machine for PC is a point-and-click adventure game. The player explores two-dimensional locations, gathers items required and solves numerous puzzles. The in-game puzzles get more and more difficult as the player progresses. The player meets 56 NPCs in total and converses with them on story-related topics ? the game has over a thousand dialogue lines. Throughout his adventure, Kelvin travels first to the times of Ludwig van Beethoven, then to the period of Isaac Newton, and finally to when Leonardo da Vinci was making history. The protagonist's goal is to thwart dr. Lupin's wrongdoing and to help both artists and invenotors in completing the works of their lives. Technical aspectsKelvin and the Infamous Machine for PC stands out with its hand-painted, two-dimensional visuals reminiscent of the classics of this genre, such as the Day of the Tentacle series (the game also shares similar themes with the said franchise).
